Learn about our second trip to beautiful Nicaragua, the land of volcanos and lakes

Enabled by the folks at Better Days and Ecclesia We traveled to Nicaragua to work with two different Logos Communities; Project Chacocente and Communidad de Sabanagrande. We spent there two weeks working on the construction of a school building for the community at Project Chacocente.

A community of logos

A community of Logos is a community of dialogue where its members had decided to establish the exchange of ideas and the earning of trust at the center of their efforts to build their community for the welfare of everyone involved. Usually these communities are composed of underserved sectors of a city or our socio-economic system.

Key elements of a Logos Community are open dialogue, acceptance, encouragement, trust, giving value to long term relationships, and disposition towards education and hard work. Where some of these elements exist or are being developed, we call this a Logos Community and we want to participate with them in the development of their community and their people.

We want to empower communities that value these same principles and that are willing to work hard to develop their own local communities to a full potential.
